we now have something to do! she has started a group on flickr to build a quilt for victims of katrina. it's the same idea as the tsunami quilt
come on folks! we can do this! [and i've never really quilted before!] 10.25" x 10.25" (seam allowance) squares... plain, decorated, anything. action causes a reaction!

This is such a great idea. My Mom is going to do it...she is a really talented quilter. Thank you so much for the purse. It is so sweet and kind. It was nice to see mail today.

such a hopeful thing to see... such a fabulous idea! the only thing that is going to help the situation (and make us all feel a little less helpless) is to take our energy and efforts and put them to good use.
