there's little i control

this morning i awoke to that chill... soon it will be too cold to dress in the morning without a shower or some heat.... the doggies are staying in bed b/c they have blankets.... as always fall and winter come when they are good and ready!

i also awoke with a start.... there is just too much going on in my head and in my multiple endeavors.... i shouldn't even be typing this for i can feel my list screaming at me, but i'm hoping it will serve as mini-therapy....

i want this photo to embed in my mind for today. i want to embrace the idea of calm, the idea of breath, the idea of smallness [little buddha is only 3 inches tall], the idea of closing your eyes and letting go, the idea that rust [metaphorically] will magically place itself in wonderful and beautiful ways...

i think part of my problem is that i have not had a good studio day [whole day] in far far too long.... thus i am feeling resentful. resent quickly leads to regret... neither of which ultimately does any good. buddha buddha be my guide!!

I think this is a good thought for all. I love this photo. My lists are totally screaming at me as well!
    Take some time for yourself!

Sending you some zen vibes (I almost typed 'wipes'...yikes! :))... It is so important to just take a deep breath and rest for a while to clear your head.

sometimes a strong visual is all you need to keep your sense of calm. boy, do I hear you... so much going on in my head these days and it feels like it's never going to end. if I don't consciously seek calm, my frantic side takes over!

One has to convince oneself that some time away from the madness of it all is more than worth it bec it will allow one to be refreshed and thus more focused and efficient. Your little buddha allowed him/herself enough contemplation time to accumulate some rust on his/her nose!

Distracted is my middle name these days! I feel pulled in so many different directions with all of my interests divided. I know a routine would help, as would getting organized, but I just can't find my focus. I'm in the boat with you, Lisa, maybe we should stop the frantic paddling and just float along for a while.

a gorgeous image ... these thoughts are always rushing through my mind as well. life is balance. finding it. allow yourself to be off track right now. there is something in this time for you to learn ... let it flow through you. then you will have your full studio day and you will feel refreshed.
thank you for reminding me that i'm not alone when i am lost! there are others... hugs, mav

"the list" follows us into our dreams doesn't it? I woke to the feeling like someone was grinding something into my head yesterday, and it was just me grinding my teeth (ACK!!!) I'm praying for peace to you and your list!
