Rubber O Cement, new costume, computer, loud, short. "I like the spazz parts" was a quote another was "I like the sychronic hook up of the notes those guys did." Loud n' short.
People Hater is the portabel SRL flim flam side show and now Chip and his brother(?) from that project have a creation called "Kill Ape Technology". One guy plays a home made mixing board l0oking thing that has all these knobs on it sounding like the "pop-klicks" that Tudor and NautiKali have during their quiet parts. He's playing at one end of the beach. This guy Chip has a cube at the other end of the beach with 2 rotating arms with rollers that is pushing itself to some monolith pole-markers for the campfires. Within the cube is about 10 sirens and horns working independant/one dangling that switch on and off with the clunk of the metal cube. It bumps into a monolith pole and wobbles thru the campfire. Then to another one and eventually doa's on a final pole. Fuccing beautiful. Next up was the Earwicker/Ow-Towner trio with card board cello/ pocket calculator talk/ and shopping cart with springs on it. The Earwicker guy did the best sounds, no one clapped. One hoot. Real short.
After that was MAGNETIC STRIPPER-2 levels of spinning reel to reels and a roland keypad processing the boogers. This was loud heaven smashing your ears with plastic werewombs and blunderclaps. Nice sounds. Jimp the Magnetic Stripper is always decked out like a melted Jack Kirby toy and was really doing the noodle arm twisting the dial.s. making a scene in his own 10 dimensioned mind. He is supposed to sound like the shitty Cab Voltaire stuff and threatens to sound like that but he just gets stranger and less coherently sounding like anything you can define.
So now it's pretty cold and some people are drifting off. The Cement Factory and the Industrial Records Label smokestack parody chimney is blowing steam at a right angle to the sky. There's still a crowd of goofballs there tho. Motorally plays next, a guy playing Chip's motorola phone into the mic for the length of time that Schematic is setting up saying "Hey Chip your phone is ringing".
Schematic is next with one less member playing so Machine V aka Suitcase Sal is making some crazy sounds and then starts paging some doctor and then lets rip this huge SCREAM, it's nicely painful. Echo on the beach with this messed up band. Aglin who plays the thundering guitar sounds was kinda restrained more than usual but there was not a dull moment.
