Do I need a router or modem?

Monkeybrains customers do need to provide their own wireless router if they want WiFi within their home. You will not need a modem. Any standard, consumer-grade router should work with our service, however your upload & download speeds over WiFi may vary depending on your device. For optimal performance, we recommend dual-band gigabit AC routers such as Amplifi (ask us for a discount!).

Note: Modem/router combo devices or devices that were provided to you by a different internet service provider (Comcast, AT&T, etc.) will NOT work with our service.

Do we offer a trial period?

You are entitled to a 30-day trial period starting on the day your installation is completed. If you cancel your service within the 30 day window, we will refund the payment made at installation.**

*GIGABIT INTERNET: Although we have a verified gigabit connection to your building, in-unit upload/download speeds are dependent upon the integrity of the building's existing wiring to your unit, and your personal home network (router). Monkeybrains guarantees speeds above 250Mbps upload/download via the direct Ethernet handoff in-unit.

**ACCOUNT TERMINATION POLICY: If you cancel service beyond the 30-day trial period, your payment submitted upon installation will not be refunded. Due to the quarterly payment schedule, service canceled mid-quarter will be refunded for the calendar month(s) following your termination date. Any refunds issued for a residential account must be done electronically (no cash or check). This requires a subscriber to have enabled recurring electronic payments and/or have an active PayPal account to receive any refund.
